RESPONSE TO CORONAVIRUS
OVERVIEW
We are committed to the safety and wellbeing of our staff, clients, families, and the wider community. We are closely monitoring the situation and are taking advice and making decisions based on updates from the following sources:

CURRENT STATE OF PLAY
We are providing face-to-face services as normal with eased COVID-19 restrictions in Victoria. During this time, the health and safety of our community is our priority, and as such, we continue to follow advice from the State and Federal Governments.

WHAT WE ARE DOING
Speech Pathology Hub has put additional precautions in place in response to the continued spread of COVID-19. These include:
- Maintaining a COVID-Safe plan
- Complying with current recommendations around wearing of masks, social distancing, and density requirements
- Offering clients and families telehealth sessions and other remote services when there is a risk of infection
- Staying up-to-date with advice from Federal and State Governments regarding hygiene and infection control (e.g. cleaning therapy materials)
- Completing the COVID-19 Infection Control Training online course through the Department of Health
- Vaccinated against COVID-19
WHAT YOU CAN DO
The Department of Health advises people to practice good hygiene and social distancing to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. This includes:
- Washing your hands frequently and thoroughly (20 seconds) with soap and water
- Covering coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your elbow, and disposing of tissues properly
- Refraining from touching your face as much as possible
- Using alcohol-based hand sanitisers
- Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces
- Maintaining a space of at least 1.5 metres between you and other people
- Practising social distancing as much as possible
- Staying home if you are unwell
CANCELLATIONS
If you would like to change or cancel any of your sessions, please contact us (link to contact us) as soon as possible. Please cancel your appointment if anyone in your household is unwell or currently awaiting COVID-19 test results. Our cancellation policy can be viewed here (link to the cancellation policy).
